Parallel Explorer is a live browser-based tool for investigating which countries share a chosen latitude or longitude. Users can search for a country, adjust the axis and degree, follow the line across the world map and open contextual country dossiers alongside the comparison.
Latitude and longitude are usually presented as abstract coordinates. We needed to turn them into an intuitive way to compare distant countries without hiding the geographic logic behind the result.
